An Introduction to 1/24th Scale...

For many years 24th scale was really only popular in the United States of America where it is also known as half scale.  However, for the last few years it has grown in popularity in this country as well.  I think it would be fair to say that the majority of collectors of 24th scale items have already been collecting 12th scale pieces for many years and look towards 24th as a new challenge.  The scale itself is based on half an inch being equal to one foot.  However, many miniaturists switch to metric measurements in 24th scale to give greater accuracy.  There are 12.7mm to each foot but this is often rounded down to 12mm to the foot.

Pinchbeck Miniatures has a comprehensive range of 24th scale items.  Many pieces available in our 12th scale range are now also available in 24th.

As with our 12th scale range the best way for you to appreciate the quality and finish of our miniatures is for you to come along and see us at one of the many fairs we attend throughout the year.
